Operation Santa Program Overview
Do you believe that every individual deserves a Merry Christmas? Then Operation Santa is the program for you!
Operation Santa is a special time for MHA Aiken, with volunteers, community leaders, and YOU, but most importantly the mental health clients that we serve. These clients live independently in the community or in local community care homes and have very low-income levels and most live on Social Security Disability benefits. These individuals would receive nothing for Christmas due to not having a family to help make sure they have something for Christmas, which leads to many having depression and suicidal thoughts.
Each year Mental Health America of Aiken County hosts an annual Christmas Celebration for the mental health clients in our area. This fun-filled day brings together these individuals and our community to share in the fellowship and goodwill of the Christmas season. Please join us in our excitement and consider being a part of this event. This year’s Operation Santa will take place on Friday, December 16th at the Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center.

Our Impact
With Operation Santa, we provide for this population by meeting emotional and physical needs…Christmas gifts. The event is a celebration of singing, essential hygiene items, warm clothing, and a traditional holiday meal. It’s a special way to celebrate Christmas through giving.
